Flint group issued 2017 Sustainability Report to improve its environmental, social and economic performance.

This Report describes measures taken by Flint Group on incorporating sustainable business practices on a daily basis. Flint Group CEO Antoine Fady stated in the report that its very important to maintain a high degree of economic and environmental sustainability and that is deeply engrained in their values.

To increase accessibility and understanding of their code Flint Group translated its policies to over 20 languages and conducted face-to-face training as well as e-learning course to new employees. Their new expansion initiatives like the creation of Digital Printing solutions business through the takeover of Xeikon have been included in their efforts as well.

Also, 700 third parties that Flint Group works with have been asked to agree to respect their code of conduct and complete an e-learning course. They ceased to work with around 60 third-party partners since 2015-2016 and new partnerships have been made with those who meet their requirements.

Fady insists that collaboration is central to building momentum and that they are working with their suppliers to improve sustainability and uphold strict environmental and human rights standards. Flint group also implemented a new health and safety strategy thus staying ahead of regulations on packaging, chemicals, and labelling and strengthening their global integrity and compliance culture.

The Report places a focus on measuring energy and evaluation of the energy intensity to provide a more significant understanding and transparency within the report. In 2016 Flint Group estimated their production intensity per product which will be used to measure progress and implement improvements.

Russel Taylor from Flint Group stated that they had been encouraged by their progress, and that they are increasing their focus on environmental measurements to embed sustainability practices to their core of their organisation further. Fady concluded that they would maintain strong market focus and develop clear strategies but with emphasis on sustainable and responsible business practices.
