The Climate Refugee Roundtable
The Climate Refugee Roundtable was convened by COIN and MEP Jean Lambert in June 2008. The Roundtable brings together refugee, human rights, development, environmental and climate change NGOs to generate dialogue and action on the issue of climate refugees. Read more...
The Third Sector Initiative
The Third Sector Initiative aims to facilitate knowledge and develop new perspectives on how the non-environmental voluntary sector will be affected by climate change – particularly fundamental aims and principles. Our work is focused on the refugee and human rights movement and builds upon two years of strategic engagement with organisations across this sector. Training for Refugees
There is a wide-ranging debate about the consequences of climate change on migration. There will undoubtedly be some level of forced migration due to environmental degradation and climate change. COIN has recently developed a short workshop aimed at enabling these issues to be debated and discussed in group sessions. Read more...
