What we do
When Climate Outreach Information Network (COIN) was formed in 2004 it was the first charity with the core purpose of engaging the public directly about climate change. COIN seeks to inspire lasting changes in attitudes and behaviour through the use of innovative action learning methods, and by assisting people to communicate their own messages to their peers. We want people to create a sustainable and exciting low carbon future.
COIN prioritises working with sectors of society who are not already engaged. We have extensive practical experience in working with new and challenging audiences including trades unions, housing associations, fuel poverty groups, and asylum and refugee organisations. Over the years COIN has set up different programmes and ways of reaching new audiences. We are happy to move on to new areas and work with new groups as others take up initiatives started by COIN.
COIN’s activities currently fall into four interlinked areas:
2. Training
3. Mobilisation
4. Networks
