Who is the workshop for?

This course is for any tenant or person involved in a housing association or tenant organisation. 

What happens in the workshop?

This workshop covers:

  • The science – what the scientists are saying (and feeling!)
  • The impacts of climate change – what are the current effects?
  • The scientific consensus – the strength of agreement among experts across the world.
  • Why we find it so difficult to accept that climate change is happening.
  • Why should we take action at all – isn’t it all China’s fault anyway?
  • Personal carbon emissions – how your carbon footprint is made up.
  • The carbon budget – how carbon emissions vary across the world.
  • What do we need to do?
  • Can we make the necessary changes in time?
  • What should tenants and tenant organisations be doing?
  • Would a ‘sustainable’ society actually be fairer and better?
