The following materials are provided as a companion to COIN's training workshops.  Not all our workshops currently have training materials available to download but we are working towards having complete training packs available for all our courses.  These training materials do not in any way intend to replace the workshops they support.  Much of the information will only make sense when used in the context of the course itself.

Walking the Walk

The Walking the Walk Training Guide is a fun 20-30 minute group activity which enables participants to learn about the greenhouse gas emissions of the average UK resident.  It provides a memorable visual of how we can have a major impact on reducing our own personal emissions. 

The COIN Carbon Calculator

The COIN Carbon Calculator is a hardcopy calculator that can be printed out and distributed in workshops and similar events for participants to measure their carbon footprints there and then.

The Speaker Training Resource Pack

This Resource Pack is a companion to the Template Talk used in our Climate Change Speaker Training course. As such it will be most valuable to past participants who have done the course.  However, it includes a lot of information which we feel would be generally useful for many people actively working on tackling climate change. For example see the background information on climate impacts in the UK and abroad, and the range of responses to arguments from those who are sceptical or otherwise uncertain about the need for action.
