COIN takes over Carbon Conversations
COIN is delighted to announce that it has taken over the management of Carbon Conversations from Cambridge Carbon Footprint (CCF). This practical programme of meetings for reducing your carbon footprint, developed by Ro Randall and CCF, has received national recognition and was in the Guardian's list of 20 ideas that could save the world.
COIN stepped forward to take over Carbon Conversations after CCF reviewed its capacity to continue to support this national project, as the trustees wanted CCF to return to being a purely local organisation. CCF felt COIN's overall approach, expertise in communications and engagement and national profile fit well with Carbon Conversations.
Carbon Conversations groups offer a supportive group experience that helps people halve their personal carbon footprint. They deal with the difficulties of change by connecting to values, emotions and identity. The groups are based on a psychological understanding of how people change. Visit the Carbon Conversations website for more details.
COIN will be working with Carbon Conversations trainers and facilitators to grow the programme to make the most of its unique insights into how we respond to climate change.
