Climate Outreach and Information Network

Climate Outreach and Information Network (COIN) is a charity formed in 2004 to directly engage the public about climate change. COIN inspires lasting changes in attitudes and behaviour through the use of innovative action learning methods and by assisting people to communicate their own messages to their peers.

The DIY Guide to Climate Action Groups

COIN has launched a Climate Action Group toolkit, providing all the information you need to set up and support Climate Action Groups in your local area.  Climate Action Groups are groups of people who come together to take decisive action on a climate change issue of their choice over a six-month period.

COIN Training for Local Authorities

COIN has published its training courses for local authorities for 2010.  This suite of courses has been specifically designed to address the many new challenges facing local councils, including the advent of national climate indicators and a growing body of national policy and legislation.  Courses are: Climate Change Adaptation, Climate Change Speaker Training, Climate Change Condensed, Communicating Climate Change and Climate Change for Champions.  Download the training for local authorities brochure or view the COIN training for local authorities website page for further information.

Become a Climate Solidarity Action Group Convenor

Are you a Trade Unionist?  Ever thought about taking action in your workplace on climate change?  As part of the Climate Solidarity project, we are holding a series of trainings across the UK for those who want to become Action Group Convenors. These free, half-day workshops will give you the tools you need to recruit and lead an Action Group aimed at cutting carbon emissions in your workplace over a six-month period. For further info, including training dates and locations see the Climate Solidarity website
